We all know that feeling of getting followed… someone watching us without our consent. It is a haunting surge of emotions knowing that anything can happen, any minute. The body and mind start to fear; worrying that something horrible will take place. That’s what she went through.
Moments pass……
She opens her eyes slowly, it’s the only way she can; they’re sore… everything’s sore. As she starts to get up, the cold concrete somehow feels more solid and unsympathetic than it has in the past. She shakily starts makes her way up onto her feet, with no memory of how she got on the ground in the first place. It feels like she’s been through a marathon, and on her neck she can feel the bitter cold hitting her harder than anywhere else on her body- despite the fact that she’s wearing tights. Reaching up to touch the cold spot on her neck, she feels the dried blood.
Listening for her surroundings, all she can hear are birds chirping and leaves making some noises due to the wind. There is nothing around her except an old house and shack across the street.
A thick dread clogs her throat and she feels her stomach sink as she walks toward the house, she feels her breath quicken and her heart race… there’s something she doesn’t want to see behind the house, but, like a robot, she continues walking, growing more terrified with every step. Her heartbeat pounds in her ears as she turns the corner of the house, and then stops as she sees what she was dreading.
It was her own body, cold on the ground.
Disclaimer: No worries guys, I’m fine! This was a fun post I really wanted to do for Halloween, and I hope you all enjoy! :)

Hello Lovelies!
Cups of tea, leaf crunching, baths and sweaters have been my best friends for a couple of weeks now and I’m loving it. I have to admit that my urban side has been showing itself a lot more lately. I’ve grown up in a town that is surrounded by rural land, but about 20 minutes away is a decent sized city… loving both, I have always wondered whether or not I am a country or city girl at heart. I have to say today (and most days) I am channeling my city side. I am normally drawn to very feminine, blousy items but I have definitely been switching it up lately and working to get myself out of my comfort zone- and I have been thoroughly enjoying it.
Also starting a new trend for myself is booties. Yes, it took me a very long time to hop on this bandwagon- but I have to report that I am also pleasantly surprised. They have been my go-to shoe ever since I got them; especially because I am ready for boots and my cozy ones are not quite weather appropriate yet. Being quite petite, they are also a way to get casual height which is really convenient for every-day attire.
These pants have been a fall staple as well for me because of the neutral olive tone that helps to add dimension to any outfit- and of course spices it up from the usual jean. They are super comfy and feel like pajamas, which is probably one of the main characteristics that I love about them. As far as the fringed kimono goes- it’s the perfect layered look for the colder days. Definitely adding to the urban vibe of this look, it is extremely wearable and even though it’s not as warm as a coat, it will add for some heat in the fall season. I can guarantee that it will make you look and feel fashionable whenever you wear it. :)

Hey everyone! This week has been one of those where I feel like I’m running from place to place, and not really stopping. It was the best treat for my birthday to be yesterday, because it was such a relaxing and fun way to end the week with with my friends and family- which helped me to just take a day and have a great time. Even though fall lands on the end of the year, I feel like it always brings new beginnings. It is infused with a great spirit, and it makes me so excited for things to come; I am, after all, one of those die hard Christmas lovers. Plus fall fashion is a total bonus.
When holidays are around the corner, everyone is in more of a cheerful mood, and cozying up for winter hibernation. And as far as fall excitement goes, Halloween does not disappoint. Even though I scare really easily, I love scary movies and the element of Halloween where it is filled with so much mystery and suspense whilst still being fun and light-hearted.
The look I went for is not fall exclusive, but where I live the weather is kind of a rollercoaster, so it fits those warmer fall days perfectly. In this transitional time of year the weather can change in a second, so I like to be prepared for any and all scenarios. So, I chose this gorgeous beaded peasant top and light bell bottoms- I guess you could say I was channeling the 70s a little. They both have a retro vibe while still maintaining a modern flair. Following the trend I had laid out for myself, we took these at a beautiful street in a historical part of the city. These houses have so much character and life behind them, and so they really add dimension towards representing the beauty held in the past.
Have fun with pieces that have a different aesthetic because you never know what you’re going to fall in love with until you try! This look definitely suited me, and trying different things always pays off when it comes to style. Also, remember that even when life gets busy to press the pause button, and treat yourself with something you love to indulge in, there doesn’t need to be a special occasion to have a great time and show yourself some appreciation (my personal favorites would have to include a lush bath or a piece of ice cream cake... or both)
Let me know what your favorite fall treats have been so far :)
